Landing Treads

Landing Tread (also known as landing nosings) are a small molding that allow the stair to transition into the finished floor. Landing Treads or Nosings are a great addition to any staircase, but look especially great when coupled with our Cooper Stairworks treads and risers.

Landing treads are typically wider than regular stair treads, allowing space for users to turn, pause, or change direction comfortably. They play a critical role in ensuring the safety and ease of use in a staircase, preventing tripping hazards and providing a stable foundation for users during transitions. These treads can be crafted from various materials, such as wood, stone, or metal, and are often designed to complement the overall aesthetics of the staircase. Landing treads, when well-constructed and properly integrated into a staircase, contribute to a seamless and functional connection between different levels in a building while also adding to the staircase’s overall architectural charm.
